If you can't pick it back up, don't ride it.

Exactly what is the point of bashing someone's bike they have worked hard to build? If you don't like it, move the hell on. Or at least keep your trap shut.

Thanks for for chiming in two years after the fact. Maybe you should keep your trap shut.

EDIT: just saw your intro post......you like the look of CX's......speaks volumes.....

    Dear diary,

Today a bunch of people pointed out that my bike was dangerous/non-rideable/poor performing. I thought the internet was there to tell me how it's ok because I won't be riding it on the track.

I thought that a cafe racer was a custom that you could do whatever you wanted and there is no right or wrong.

    1) why are you here?

    2) just because someone worked hard doesn't mean they worked smart. pointimg that out, esp in the face of a somewhat laughable high price that is meant to ensnare those of lesser knowledge isn't "bashing" per se.

Again you are a traveler seeking knowledge, are you really going to argue or talk tough with the guides? You can ask questions and understand why people make the comments they do or you can fuck right off and find different guides and have a different journey. Choice is always yours.

Considering you like cx500s my suggestion is to go find some other hobby if you are going to be billy badass telling people to keep their trap shut.
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.
