Well.... I randomly started wrenching on my 66 satellite. Converted to a bastardized HEI setup (oem electronic dizzy, big cap hei module and tbi bobbin coil sharing a bracket machined out of scrap aluminum) and got it running, dug out my duster disc brake spindles, discovered i need lower control arm bushings and ball joints. So now I am putting stiffeners and sway bar brackets on the LCAs, building adjustable heim jointed strut rods, and setting up for 15x8 or 17x8 tires. Its truly a bad idea.
Also did Jag ever buy anything?
Honda S90 (box of parts)
Honda CB750C (runs)
The Others (mostly rolling wounded)
My collar may be a little frayed, and maybe I need a shoeshine. But nobody\'s got a mortgage on my soul. I own it. Free and clear. -Phil Lovecraft
I thought that a cafe racer was a custom that you could do whatever you wanted and there is no right or wrong.

Pretty solid cars but I always hated when they rolled into the shop because they're fairly hard to service. Engine is pretty well buried, replacing front struts involved disassembling the dash board and had a crank driven driveshaft to run the cooling fan in a time where electric fans were the norm. Some strange engineering but being a Toyota, reliable in spite of it.What do you guys think about the Toyota Previa LE S/C all-trac ?
I did, however, make one stop when I ran over a boulder that fell off a truck coming the other way - it bounced up and punctured the lower water hose and the temp started to rise. Had to get it towed to a nearby town to have a new hose installed but it could have happened to any car really.
Also, they can do 200kph. I had a friend who worked in car rentals and he told me the story of a guy who was clocked doing 200 on a highway somewhere in NSW in one of there rentals. Apparently he had a wife and 2 kids on board as well!
