I must have made 100 parachute jumps out of DC-3s. They are very sturdy aircraft and I have seen them land softer on one engine than on 2. I remember more than once having to exit the plane on take off due to engine failures.
I carry a gun because I'm too young to die, too old to take an ass whooping, and a cop is too heavy.

The Harley that "floated" across after the tsunami floated across in a box container. It arrived in much better shape than that unfortunate machine in the sand. They weren't called Harley Davidstones for nothing. Everyone knows a stone doesn't float.
