This is a discussion on holy Billet Batman! within the General forums, part of the Caferacer.net Forums category; Originally Posted by o1marc Rarely does the scrap get thrown away. It's recycled so it isn't a total loss. That, I know Just saying that ...
Just saying that most of a 40lb, $1200.00 block goes for recycling
Friend started building V-4 HD clone, was over $25,000 into it before the 2009 crash, scrap alloy isn't worth anything compared to new billet
If I ever came up on the lottery it would definitely be something to consider

I dabble in rocket science, when I\'m not picking my nose
The other night I gave my girlfriend an orgasm, but, she spat it back at me
'you can take my word for it or argue until you find out I'm right'
I noticed the seller right away. Wondered what else he might have in his collection. And then I wonder how many thought it was Graham Crosby of CSN/Y and not the racer Graeme Crosby?
I carry a gun because I'm too young to die, too old to take an ass whooping, and a cop is too heavy.
First off it is David Crosby and Graham Nash of CSN&Y. Second, in this crowd - I'm sure we all knew who it was.
And then you go, "Well, my brother can jump over, like, 10 garbage cans." and then I'll say something cool like, "if I can keep the front wheel from bursting into flames," okay? and don't forget to call me "THE HANKINATOR."
$6300 sound good for a Dart aluminum v-8 block.
Here's your choices fast, cheap, reliable. Pick two.
A guy in Sydney who helped me with a ton of C&C work said that a full machine filled with scrap files is worth at most a case of beer. Still means beer.
I had the privilege of standing next to Cros when he starting up his XR69 at the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed, with Campbell on the RG500 next to him. It's scary how fast those guys were compared to every other punter on the track.
I might even have some footage somewhere. I'll have a look around.
You don't even know how to stunt/coffee/chopper/moisturize bro.
