Got my XR out and took it for an MOT today. Couple of friends have same bikes, so we booked them in one after the other. Was nice to get back on it, but bloody cold and typically it rained on the way there.

Took this for a spin. Bought by a friend of mine. Got the go ahead for throttle up. 440 CU of stump pulling grunt. Brought back memories of flashing red lights and a misspent youth. Nice car shitty photo.

Is that a Coronet or did they call them something else in Canada?
One of my buds in high School had a 440 Coronet. I had a 389 65 GTO.

I carry a gun because I'm too young to die, too old to take an ass whooping, and a cop is too heavy.

It's a Coronet, probably identical to what you guys got. I assume it was built down there. They did have a plant or two up here, but don't think they made any. It's an RT and in very nice original condition other than it did have a repaint a long time ago, but there doesn't seem to be anything to suggest it was anything more than paint. Trunk and rear quarters are untouched. The one I drove when young and foolish was a 383 and it was quick enough to outrun the local constabulary.
Those older GTO's were nice cars. Most (if not all) of the Pontiacs sold up here came with Chevy engines. I guess the closest thing was a Beaumont SD-396

Two hours cleaning ballpoint ink out of the dryer. Nothing touched it until I tried citrus Safe-Strip. That stuff is the bomb.

Caught up on WSBK at Aragon, not as dull as last season and there was actually a race for the top spot.

Took my girl on a 40 mile ride yesterday.
    She liked the CL450.

Then went around the block on my CB500.....She might never ride on a twin again.
