    New Project

It's been about 3 months or so since I've had a bike to work on.
In that time I've spent far to long looking on ebay/MCN without any luck.
Considered a couple of VFR400's, and was watching a CB1100R, but that was way out of my league.
    Went, and viewed 3 bikes this morning. KH250, Ducati 748, and a NSR250 MC16.
I think I'm going to go for the Honda. I know the MC16 isn't the best NSR, but at £1300 it's reasonable money.
It'd be good to know if anyone here has any experience of them.

you aren't going to go for the KH250 triple? You could build an awesome special by stuffing a 500cc h1 engine in the chassis!
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.

I love anything mid to late 80s but know little of the NSR.

What would be the plan with it? Certain theme? Either way you do fabulous work and I'm sure you will work your magic like you always do.

As much as I'd like a triple they're really expensive over here. This one was the best part of 3 grand.
The engine has had some money spent on it, but all the chrome was poor, wheels needed rebuilding, and needs tyres/chain, and sprockets, and brakes sorting.
At a rough guess I think it would cost at least another £2000 to get it looking mint.

Cheers Knappy. Loads of cleaning, and service work. It'll need a respray, wouldn't mind the Rothmans colour scheme.

No, it belongs to a good friend of mine. He did all the work on the bike.
Total rebuild on the engine, electrical re-wiring, replaced all the wheel and steering stem bearings,
rebuilt the carbs, blasted and painted the frame and body work.

His real talent is in painting. He does some great work and has painted a bike for me in the past.

If you check out his website you can see a lot of the bikes he's done including my orange 05 cb919.
