It's a style thing, son. I hate choppers, low riding baggers, and the cliche rear hump on cafe racers. But if others like it, it's all good.

You mean like which side you part your hair on? You sure it isn't written somewhere that a Cafe Racer must have a big open triangle? New arrivals seem to be spending a disproportionate amount of time, money and fabrication effort to make it a thing, it Must have some technical advantage that simply escapes me.

If the Big Open Triangle is part of an overall stripped down, racer look AND function, I can see it's appeal.

There are plenty of things wrong with this bike, but...
What could be simplier that a set of carbs (I know, no filter), engine, basic frame, exhaust (yeah, no muffler). A few ignition wires, basic accessory wiring. triple discs, kick start, dual rear shocks and simple bodywork. That's the way I'd build it...

The problem comes when the open triangle is an end in and of itself. Surround the open triangle with a big heavy engine, oil tanks, big wheel tires, etc and it looks stupid.

I think it's a hipster reference or homage to the Bermuda Triangle. Its where any amount of wrecks could be found, all common sense and logic has vanished, plus all reported incidents have been happening since the airing of Cafe Racer TV.

I thought all cafe racers cut their sandwiches into triangles so they fit and lunchboxes are definitely not hipster enough.
