Just saw on Facebook that Tex's racebike was stolen. details:
racebike was stolen out of my truck sometime since last thursday. it is a 1971 CB350 Honda, with stretched fiberglass tank, bump stop seat, and TZ fender (all body work is blue). The seat has "moon eyes" painted onback. Competition boards are yellow with #61x. Water Buffalo 4LS front...brake, aluminum shouldered rims... bike has a tachometer only, clipon handlebars (MG), starter has been removed (MG plug), homemade rearsets (by Chris Marshall). reward offered for the sucessfull reunion of bike to rider (me) and the sucessfullass stomping of said thief. you can reach me via email: texmawby@yahoo.com |

| A friend of mine just had his 78' Puch Maxi stolen...the guys literealy tore down the fence that it was chained to. What else are you supposed to do? buy a Rottweiler to chain up to the bike? then they will steal your Rot too... |

i wonder what a thief would do with this bike. Its not often you hear of vintage racers being stolen. I would think a bike like this may be worth more sold as is rather than parting out. there are some pricey bits for sure but like the brakes, rims and homemade rearsets for example are useful to racers and everyone in the racing community around here will hopefully know whats up.
this shit pisses me off. |
