Shopping for a Morini in the U.S.

I'm continuing to keep my eyes peeled for a Moto Morini. No pressing need, just something I'm looking to scratch off my bike bucket list. A 5-speed 500 Sport is at the top of the food chain, but they're so thin on the ground in North America I can't afford to be picky about year, model, or condition. I'll gladly consider at anything with a Heron head and round frame tubes.

If anybody learns of one up for sale, please keep me in mind.

Good luck. I will keep an eye out for one. If I don't buy it, I will give you the heads up.

Are you one of them there Motorcycle Collectors? I've never met a real motorcycle collector
The adds are full of advertisements aimed just at you! And apparently you will pay a shitload of money for rare bikes in terrible condition.
can I interest you in a slightly less then complete Montesa 360VA They only built ~ 400 of them and hardly any are left in existence, the people who do have complete ones are terrified to ride em, but they really aren't that scary. Holler if you want it and I'll come up with a ridiculous price, I mean a really great price.

have you contacted the morini riders club?
    Morini Riders Club

Also, try reaching out to Stephen Pate at Restoration werks in Louisivlle, KY. He comes across them sometimes and is plugged into a lot of the vintage Italian groups.

I know two people who have them and neither would give them up for anything in the world. One of them is a beautiful 3 1/2 sport with a guilari seat and rearsets.

No, I want one to ride, not to "collect."

I'm a member of MRC, and check their forum regularly. Unfortunately, 99.44% of them fellas are on the other side of Great Iceberg Farm.

I live in Missouri — the original motorcycle title Police State. I once bought a dune buggy without the proper title; sorting it out took 12 months, two different lawyers, $1000 in legal fees, and a trip before a Circuit Court judge.

There are out of state services that can help with this now.

    you can have:

    Rare
    Cheap
    Easy

    pick two.
