Yamaha XS650 Custom Cafe Racer for sale

     THE RENEGADE 
     A VERY UNIQUE CAFÉ RACER 

This bike is based off of a 1979 Yamaha XS650 Standard
It has been completely dismantled to allow specific modifications to be done to the frame to facilitate the overall design concept.
The motor was test run in our engine test stand and was determined to be a solid runner so upgrades were then made with the addition of a Pamco electronic ignition system in conjunction with a new Permanent Magnet Alternator. Additional performance upgrades were made with the use of Mikuni VM34 round slide carbs with free flowing mesh air filters.

    Many new & custom made parts have been used on this build including;
    • A very rare Benelli Mojave gas tank & seat combination
    • A custom made instrument mount with black face speedo & electronic tach
    • New Speed rated tires fitted to Powder coated Akront shouldered wheels
    • New head pipes fitted with cocktail shaker mufflers (sweet throaty tone)
    • New TC Brothers aluminum intake manifolds
    • New braided black stainless steel brake line
    • New Biltwell “Model B” L.E.D. tail light
    • New Bates style satin black head light
    • New black chrome bar end mirrors
    • New bronze swing arm bushings
    • New Anti-Gravity Li-Ion battery
    • New black chrome clubman bars
    • New front brake master cylinder
    • New tapered steering bearings
    • New K&L blinker assemblies
    • New handle bar control units
    • New loaded Gun rear sets
    • New Monza sport shocks
    • New brake shoes & pads
    • New gaskets and seals
    • New wheel bearings
    • New drive chain
    • New cables
    • New grips

A very compelling bike to say the least and that draws quite a bit of attention wherever it goes
If you’re interested in checking the bike out please feel free to give us a call to set up a time to come by and check it out.

The bike is for sale for $6,500.00 CASH

Just wait til marc sees the wheels that have been powder coated whole……..

That seat unit reminds me of the old bath tub Triumphs.

Looks kinda tidy overall, but then again I've seen photos of Courtney Love where she looked kinda tidy too.

6500$ cash and I don't see a license plate, so can we assume that is; as is, where is, no warranty, non-certified ?

… sorry but, I'm old enough to remember these things when they were new in the showroom, and have a rough time getting past any asking price that is 3 times the original list price, for what amounts to a mediocre motorcycle.

:I but it is very clean.

the pics where she looks "dirty" in a attractive way. as far as the bike goes. clip ons instead of those cheap clubmans. best way to ruin any bike. all that work and then bolt on some cheap $10 bars
I like my shocks like I like my women. Cheap and Chinese.

It does look like the least likely to kill somebody of the three the seller posted. Monza shocks are so so at best. Not wild about the handlebars or the copious use of black paint/powdercoat for bits that would look good polished or chromed. What are the tires? Seller advises they are speed rated but doesn't mention brand - are they cheap shit or something good that would enhance the ride? And why are all the pictures blurry? Crappy cell phone pictures or were you excited and got some spooge on the lens?

To me, this would be s $2,500 to $3,000 bike for someone with skills. Maybe $4,000 to $4,500 for a hipster just wanting to ride. But then I'm a cheap bastard anyway.

his other bikes use "Firestone" or at least firestone repops. And to be fair coker firestones are now speed rated but the speed rating is really really low. Still this bike looks like it uses real tires, I think shinkos as I can make out an SH in one of the pics.

I like the Mojave seat, you rarely see those. It isn't a road racer piece so it looks kinda funny maybe with a set of vintage alloy mx bars and a number plate instead of a headlight and you have a really neat commuter/city stormer.

I can't stand the color combination on this thing. A couple of different Blues and a couple of different blacks give a horrible overall look. This bike has a collection of mediocre parts blended together to create a whole which is less than the sum of the parts. I hate colored wheels, especially spokes.

I hate everything about this thing. I wouldn't give anything for this bike because it would cost too much time and money to get rid of the ugly.
