    Factory New 1969 1970 Honda CB750 4 Exhaust Pipe Sandcast | eBay

$21.95 shipping, if I could find a sucker to pay $500 for that pipe I would gladly pay the shipping for them. But if they are that dumb I guess I should take every dollar they have if I can.
That may be an OE Honda replacement part, but it's not from 1970. It has an EPA non-compliance notice stamped into it, so's from a much later manufacturing run, which makes it less desirable to anybody who is trying to do a concours restoration. Crackpipe price.

Is it though? I mean honda gets $2K per set of four paragraph pipes so $500 for one is in line with what the dealer would bang you out for. From what I have heard Honda went NLA on these last year so if you are doing a resto for a "driver" or need to repair crash damage this may be your only option.

    Fair point, Geeto.

I'd personally slap a 4:1 on a driver before I'd spend $2K on pipes, but I also wouldn't chose a '69 if I wanted something to knock around on, so I am not the target audience here.

The value in any CB750 is the pipe.
So since the early bikes are crazy valuable that means the pipes are too.

sold an NOS set of 341 pipes for $1750 and that was years ago.

I had a 750 sandcast which I sold 14 years ago to help finance a move to a different city. Any day now, that motorcycle will be worth more than my fucking house. It was an early one and the pipes on it were different than the later 1970 model. I would have gladly paid 2k for good correct set. It also had a different head and barrel than the later ones, so head gaskets weren't available.

I've thought for a few days about what would be a worse bike than a Vdue. I couldn't come up with one.

You have to ask why a bike, especially a model with a woeful a build history and reliability record as a Vdue, is still 'new' after all these years.

Have some Italianos bolted together junk that was lying around in the warehouse? I'd guess so.

    Danger, is my business.

I never knew there was a carby version of this bike.

From what I understand, the FI was the biggest problem with this bike, so a carb'd engine would probably be OK.
