    help me decide...

    which front mudgaurd do you think looks best?
    the plastic cut down lc type?


    or this period kinda looking one?

    whichever i use it will be painted same colour as the bike..which will probably be black and gold..

    plastic - chrome don't get you home and that metal piece looks heavy. If you look at the TZ750s from the 70's they run plastic fenders - that looks liek retor full race to me, plus the plastic saves you some weight and grams add up to lbs.

    The steel fender has a fork brace in it. Well worth the extra little bit of weight. Plus that ain't a racebike.

    the plastic one has a brace in it too, very solid..
    i dont want to leave the steel one polished, it wouldnt look right against rest of the bike (in my opinion) . but overall i think it looks more period to the bike ..

    It's a mid-70s bike. by the mid 70s the cool thing was to put the first picture's fender on that bike. that's the more period one in my opinion. The second, stock one, was a more 60s period thing.
