The best performing stacks that I have found are the stock rubber ones from the stock air filters. I clamped green foam uni filters on mine. The jetting didn't need to be changed after I put the filters on the stacks so I figured they weren't very restrictive. The difference in the velocity stacks and bare carbs was changing the main jets from 100 to 130.

i used malossi velocity stacks. we sold them at cosmo. larry charged me $20.00. those were the days my friend....walking up to his desk after work with a box full of stuff for "let's make a deal." the malossi stacks were just a little bigger ID then the intake OD of the CV carbs.....my original fix was to use asparagus purple rubber bands, but was changed mid season for a small section of bicycle inner tube stretched over the intake lip and friction fitment of the stacks. they never vibrated off or were knocked off over four seasons of racing.

    google malossi.

they are 1 piece spun aluminum and they push on and stay on realy well, they have a fine brass screen on the bell end. $25. for the pair, new in the box, comes with a clamp that looks just like stock. Fits 49mm, made in japan by "toko", posibly NOS?

    Hey Don,

So are you saying that the out side diameter of the velocity stack is 49mm?
The inside diameter of my keihin carbs are 38mm and 50mm out side.I don't think theyll fit. If they will fit ill take them.

They were listed (on e-bay) as fitting cb350 and cb450, I measured them (with a ruler) at 49mm ID It says cb450 on the box. I put my caliper on it and it easly goes to 50mm. I just saw some listed for $49. a pair. I bought 4 of them for that so I'll split it with you. Here's a pic.
