    just purchased my first home!

    motorhome that is...

    actually 5th wheel trailer.

32' fifth wheel purchased a few grand less than market value.
plopped on the north side of a 6+ bay garage (to which i have 100 percent access to work on and store my own vehicles in. including motorcycle lifts, air etc.)

my payment is $275 a month. and because its parked near said garage i earn an additional $400 a month simply by being physical presence. like a security guard only no actual staying up all night and wandering the grounds.

saving quite a bit on rent. and getting a paid for trailer in less than two years, with total shop access, free water, free internet and free power.

    hows that?

retrotony.. i am now an oklahoman living a stationary camper.
    now you've got a redneck.

for reference i'm only 26 and i'm single. and i still have a day job too. just this setup frees up tons of money to sink into lloyd vintage, custom bikes, road trips etc.

i paid to live in smaller places in college (not just dorms, i once had a really really tiny house)

That's so strange, I was looking at airstreams the other day. The idea of a trailer/rv seems super appealing as of late.

Sounds like my plan before wife & kids came along. My garage to house ratio gets progressively worse with every move.

Congrats...and I probably don't have to tell you to anchor that thing down in Oklahoma.

luckily i live in an area of oklahoma that experiences minimal tornado action.

although i have stood like an idiot when one jumped right over me. chunking leaves and twigs down on me.

not in a basement not in a shelter, just outside looking up mouth agape.

I wasn't alone though. so that makes it less dumb.
