    NEVER! buy a ducati

I hate my sportclassic. The most unreliable bike I have ever owned. Spent more time in the shop or unsafe to ride this year than being ridden.

Save your money and buy japanese, they do things better, faster, and more reliable. Also their dealers are actually helpful.

That leads to a question- wich vehicle (with 4 strokes) is reliable AND made in southern europe?

I bought Kawasaki Versys this year.Fun to ride, long travel adjustable suspension for our crappy roads, light, good midrange power, cheep insurance but the bike I really wanted was the new Monster. Been second guessing my purchase and you just made me feel better. Thanx

Ducati: making mechanics out of riders since 1948?

not anymore. thanks to the immoblizer and the locked ECUs the only people that can do any meaningful "repair" and diagnosis to a ducati are the people that get paid and trained to do it. So the new slogan should be - Ducati: pickpocketing riders wallets since 2002.

My bike has had lots of issues, and only has 2200 miles. The tank spreading issue alone make it so not worth it. Just very angry!!!!

i would just get someone to make you one out of alloy and move on......meaning, you can still fight with ducati, but be riding while you are fighting. or start a class action naming acerbis and ducati NA.

By my feeble estimation, I agree. Another great brand gone horribly wrong.

At this point I look at new Ducatis and just shake my head and walk away.

And that's without ownership experience. Life's too short for me to want to belly up to that bar. So many other things I could do with my time and money.

    Cheers,

i almost bought a sportclassic but the dealers all sucked that i talked to...i mean REALLY sucked!

is there anyway to get a copy of the dealer software? i have the software for my VW and it lets me do anything a deal could.

what else has the bike been doing?

gunna trade it in? for what?
