    AL Wheel Widening

So I have been looking at doing some fun stuff to my Kawasaki and I am looking for a company, other than Kosman, that widens aluminum rims. I am looking to add 3/4" to both sides of my stock wheel and have them powerder coated black.

The reason than I am looking to get away from Kosman is because since they have been under new ownership I have heard that peoples satisfaction with there customer service has been less than par. Stories of prices going up once the rim is in house has me not wanting to spend $650 before shipping the rim to CA.

Does anyone know of anyother companies that widen rims? Places like Weld Craft only work on steal wheels and my searches have not produced anyother results.

It used to be pretty common to widen Porsche wheels and fit them to Beetles.
Must be someone around still doing it at reasonable cost?
What about people advertising alloy wheel repair?

Try Wheel Works. Guys name is Tim Smith.

    http://local.yahoo.com/info-10878650...rks-burlington

Does all kinds of crazy stuff. If he can't do it, could probably point you in a direction of someone who can.

Go ahead and tell Him Leon sent you, he'll probably only double the price! Just kidding.

    Cheers,

Try posting this on weldingweb "mig tig stick thread possibly" and miller forums someone there may know who does this. When I lived in Petaluma CA I had a quality shop that would do any work I brought into them.
