No VIN on my Frame!

    No VIN on my Frame!

    Has anyone had experience with a frame with no VIN?!? My C110 Has no evidence it ever had one. Will I be able to register it?

    Does it have one on the motor? Use that one.

    I don't know the c110 very well but if it is 1971 and earlier lots of bikes did not have frame vin numbers from that era. Harley sportsters pre 1972 are all registered to the engine number.

    Many/most single cylinder Ducatis don't have a frame number either. they came with a foil tag (in the US) that the dealer was supposed to fill out. A lot of bikes didn't get it put on, a lot of other bikes have lost it through the years.

    I would have to check my Cub but I think the frame number is on the frame near the left side foot peg. Its not on the neck.

    I agree with hahnda, the frame number is on left side between engine bolts above generator cover

    Thanks guys. I stripped the bike. No sign of number on left bottom where it should be. 60's C110s had no neck foil tags. I have heard of other bikes with no vins. I am going to try to reg with engine #. Will cal DMV today...
