    a little help again

    So i think i might have a lead on a project.. but i am bike dumb.. What should i be looking for on this bike ? and roughly what is a fair price.. Im waiting for the kid to email me some pictures.

    As always;

    depends on the title situation

    overall condition, which we don't know w/o pics

    if the kid really races you'd think that he'd have installed decent tires and perhaps anything else he's done is at least serviceable

    but then here again if the kid really races why doesn't he spend an afternoon and get the fucker running?

    My guess somewhere between $200 and his asking price. I'd pop $600 for a nice-ish 400f and I don't even like Hondas.

    give the pipes a good whack with the palm of your hand and listen for rattles. the collector where the four pipes join is only sheet metal and mine is so far beyond rotted through its scary (https://www.caferacer.net/forum/topic...73&whichpage=2 have a look at it in the first two photo's on the linked page.) and the cost is prohibitive.

    get piccies please.
