    Helmet size?

I know that a helmet inside size can be the same between an adult and a youth, but should there be a difference in overall size and or weight? The gentlemen I spoke to said there is no difference, but how could that be???? I had him try on an adult helmet sized for his head and it did fit, but the thing looked so big and heavy for a little guy.

there is a strict regulation for the density of padding in a helmet so i guess the shell of the helmet will be the same size regardless of who its for.

Take a look at the new European standards, they are 'better' than Snell as they take rotational forces into account (the bit that snaps you neck off)
The outer shell is made in limited sizes and the inner is sized differently. The weight of Styrofoam inside will vary by a few grams, coat of paint probably weighs more.
Lighter weight shell has more difference
    Carbon fiber is about lightest?
    Polycarbonate heaviest?
cheaper helmets generally heavier than expensive ones
I dabble in rocket science, when I\'m not picking my nose
The other night I gave my girlfriend an orgasm, but, she spat it back at me

I seem to remember reading about Arai and Icon offering two helmet shell sizes. One that fit XS up to L and then an XL and above. Plus I know they have different shells for round heads versus long oval heads.

not much to add it but I've found ICON brand helmets very undersized vs other brands (HJC, Bell, some simpson) but...similarly sized to the ARAI fitting.
