Micro machine Ducati

This is a discussion on Micro machine Ducati within the General forums, part of the Caferacer.net Forums category; I think it's a cool little bike, it's a shame it's a "show bike" and "not suitable for road or track" http://www.bikeexif.com/ducati-48-sport...

yea...that's got me written all over it.

But for $4000...I'd buy a newer RS125 instead.
I've been trying on and off for the past few years to find a super small displacement Ducati like that...but closet I've come is the m65 Aerrmacchi that Rosko gave me.

    Maybe one day...

Not useless for me...I'd ride it as a streetbike.
You've seen the legality of some of my "streetbikes".
Still has a ignition system... probably still has a lighting coil just not hooked up, or a lighting coil that was just taken out.
    Hook up lights...BOOM! done.

And who says it's not track worthy?
Put some much skinnier tires on it, safety wire it and take it out.

On a side note...what does your schedule look like this week Kerry?
You free for a few hours? Or is the baby super close to coming and can't leave the wife for too long?

Free for a few hours to do what?

baby is due this week. Sunday to be precise. aside from work, I am not straying too far from home and def not drinking (in case I need to drive to the hospital). My Mom in Law will be in tomorrow so after that I don't have to be chained to the house. Call me later today and we'll talk.

I dont know about the bike world but in the corvette world when a car is "show only" there aren't any internals in the engine or grease where there ought to be. It is why they had to create special classes like the duntov award where you must prove the car not only runs and drives but does it as well as it did when new. seriously, I know of at least 5 six figure corvettes that only garner mileage being pushed on and off a trailer.

come to think of it you larry know of some bikes like that...cough... rocket 3....cough
