    Just picked a '72 suzuki gt750.

    The good, drum brake.
    the bad, 400$.
    and the ugly, engine stuck.

    included is another engine and parts.bike is rought, last time licenced is 1984.

    Price was right. Most expensive one I had was free and you can imagine how much it cost in the end...

    How complete is that J model? If it's complete enough, it's worth restoring. If it's in terrible condition, sell the brake - or keep it for your boat - and get a can of matt black paint and roll of checker tape. Oops. Am I in the wrong place again.....

    Those motors are seriously over engineered, but are a complete PIA to remove frozen cylinders. You will probably need to beg borrow or steal a puller plate to get the block off. IS yours an early one with bolt on inlet manifolds/stubs or does it have the same spigots as later models? I much prefer teh look of teh first ones, even though they weigh almost 1Kg more than later blocks.

    I plan to keep the brake and seel the rest, i will maybe put a '78 gs front end on it and rattle can paint job and sell it after.
    If the thing is not that bad i may keep it and get it running.

    the good....brake was worth $400.

    the bad.....having to sell the rest to make back your $400.
