If I had the time and money, I would be building myself one to race. I don't know why but I seem to be getting sucked in to its swirling vortex.

Are you running anything next season? I used to really enjoy you running the Goldie.

Yawn... I could think of a couple bikes worse to race. Maybe Goldwing racing? Or Valkrie or Rune..... O.K. I'll stop now......

    Cheers, A.D.

Didn't you ever hear about the guy in the northwest that races a Goldwing? I saw a clip of him crossed up entering a turn. I heard that he keeps the radio on while he races.

isn't a racing HD sporty called a buell. I betcha if you put them in the same class as the thruxton and you may have a good race. sounds like fun.

He was at Shubie one year. Nice guy. Had some scheme for selling two-stroke powered blenders. Giddy-up.

So that's who did that tune! Damn, I never woulda guessed. "Maverick,... you're dangerous..."

As far as racing Sportys is concerned, I'd do it if they were free.

This link will take you to a few photos of the racing Goldwing being hefted back vertical by Dave Roper. Back in 2000 Dave and the T.O. guys came out here to play. While looking over the Goldwing, Dave accidently hit the starter button and ran over a CB160. Notice in the photos that the CB160 was picked up first. The black boxes at the corners of the Goldwing are Radio Shack 6" x 9" frame savers.
