Well, yes they flex considerably in the vertical. At the current length they have no choice. I think the fuel guys pretty much used up all the hemis.

With the coming of the aluminum block and head you could explode them at will and there was an unending supply. I was watching a show a few weeks back at DSR and they showed how they make their heads. A big chunk of aluminum, a CNC, push a button and 17 hours later you have a head.
