    Out of state title transfer...

Quick question, how do you guys normally go about transferring a title for an out of state sale? As in, I have a buyer for my bike but he's in PA and will have a shipping service come pick it up -he and I won't meet face to face.

    thanks, Trevor

I just sold a CB750 and shipped it NY to WA
I was paid and the money cleared.
Then the shipper picked the bike up.
    I mailed the title.

While I never met the buyer i did talk to him on the phone and he also was a known member of a large forum so i felt safe.
Im not sure how to make it safe for a complete stranger

Bought my Busa from Seattle (to Maryland).
I sent 1/3 payment - he sent keys and certification from local dealership.
I sent second 1/3 - he sent title.
I sent final payment - he met the truck that shipped the bike to me.
Titled the bike in MD with his title and bill of sale no hitch.
All went smooth as silk and the Busa still rides that way.
Every time I start thinking the world is all bad, then I start seeing people out there having a good time on motorcycles. It makes me take another look. - S.M.
