    my buddy

lifelong friend and current next door neighbour Vee Pickering showing off his trophys in 1982.

    on the track

Vee was an outstanding competetor, he was a local hero, winning almost every race he entered, he was almost there but quit racing in 1986 when his dad, best friend and mechanic suddenly died, his trophies are hidden away in his attick, he doesnt talk about his racing days but he lent me these photos to show you.

I am assuming most of the bikes are tz250s, but what is number 169?

If it was a Honda it would be an mt125 as the rs didn't come out till 1987. Still an excellent bike. Keep them coming.

Wasn't there an article in classic bike about Pickering recently? His story and the bikes seem familiar to me. I'll have to check the back issues.

ACU doesn't allocate a fixed number, first come first served.
You get a lower number by entering event early
I was usually somewhere in the middle 100~250 depending on size of event
