Joe, do they show the difference between spiral and non-spiral. Always felt my OEM front brake cable was a bit spongy. What's the difference between the two?
I've seen "flat wound" and the regular round wire types.

And....I thought YOU were saying I said they would shorten your OLD cables. While I was actually just saying to send your old one as a template....I was just...you know....saying.

I removed all the plastic covering on my cables, then I soaked them in water for like 5 minutes, and then I put them in the microwave. It worked, I just shrunk them too much and now I'm just trying to figure out how to get the bike in the microwave.

dude, the dryer is much easier.....although i like watching mine spin on the rotissiere.

i cant remember the diferences. i just know that the spiral sheathed cable will flex and stretch as you pull on it. giving you a spoongyier feel somehow. chris has been through the whole thing, hes really the one to ask. hes lurking around here.

Seems like I remember MotionPro or someone made cables with some wires that ran long ways through the cable...you can't compress them or stretch them so the cable doesn't sponge when you use it.
