interested in a cafe racer style, suggestions?

hey everyone, im considering a cafe racer type bike... id like to go with something new as a starting point... i can be sure the frame is sound, have disc brakes, EFI, etc... but i would also entertain modifying an old bike with bolt on modifications, i dont think i would be comfortable permanently altering a classic with any value to it..

soo.. suggestions?.. the harley sportster can be made into a cafe racer from what ive seen, the XR1200 is pretty close stock, i also really like the "flying v" style engine and shaft drive of the moto guzzi V7 cafe which already has the seat, tank, brakes, and is EFI so i could focus on suspension and engine upgrades with that one..

so any other new bikes around the 750cc mark that i could consider for a classic cafe racer look?.. preferably one with two cylinders.. thats just what i would like.. i really like the CB750, would love it more if it was a twin... did they make the CB500 with two cylinders at some point?...

anyway, im interested to hear any ideas or suggestions

Honda made the CX500 - it's probably the best cafe platform ever built next to the CM400. New bikes are for losers.

You'll probably like this place too:

What the fuck is a "flying v"?

There is another post about modern platforms, read it. After you hair catches fire and you rethink your existence....come back and well talk.

wanna know the difference between a gibson "flying V" and a motorcycle engine "flying V"? the gibson is cool. Oh, and it also actually exists.

the guzzi v7 cafe's suspension is really really good out of the box. seriously, better than any other retro out there. It's just not fast enough. MG cycle will sell you a bore kit, cams, reworked heads, etc....and after you are done the bike will just be as fast as it should have been in the first place. which is a good thing.
