I have about 5 or 6 sets of cb750 Boge mullhollands. Ol' Blue came with them when I bought her and over a decade later they are still going strong. Who knows how long they have been on that bike. They are an excellent shock that when you know what you are looking at you can usually find for $40 or less in good shape on ebay.

However, there are no rebuild kits for them as far as I know. at least not anymore.

I have heard of guys taking the disassembled shock to NAPA or industrial supply houses and matching up the o-ring seals (that's all they are, nothing exotic) with some success. Me? I just kitbash the best components of the sets I have if I need one. For the most part I have yet to disassemble one with a bad seal, so I am lucky.

Mine are just cruddy externally and need cleaned up, figured I'd rebuild when I get around to using them.
I have been thinking of swapping the inner tube and all the guts to threaded aluminum bodies. T'wouldn't be that difficult, but haven't taken the time to make them either...haha

Most of the $40 mullhollands are gone. Used to be able to get NOS sets for that.
But when the RFY shocks are not $140, the price of good shocks has also risen
I only have one NOS set with NOS springs left.

I heard that the rebuild kits were still around, but I have not looked for them

SO with my recent bunch of stuff purchased I got this sweet little set of Stradas. Original box, original manual, brand new never been installed. They look a little better than my other ones.

A few years ago I saw an ad for a retailer selling the full line of Marzocchi suspension products, from somewhere back east I think. I was amazed they listed rear shocks similar to these for something like $140 a pair new, available in any length. I thought about buying some for a project I was starting, but wanted to wait until I finished doing the frame mods (in order to determine the exact length of shocks needed). I may even still have that ad (kept it to reference when it came time to buy). The project got delayed due to a family loss, so it was almost a year later before I tried to buy them. But the company was gone, victims of the recession I guess.
