Nice rendering looks almost real. As a side note with the computer rendering capability I'm wondering how long it will take for magazine companies to start creating their own models (male & female) built entirely in a computer animation instead of hiring some blonde bombshell from and eastern block country. I can see the newest playboy spread having a name of filex12000345622.pdp and she likes intel...

um...bob...clearly you have not been searching porn video websites. Magazines? that's like analog porn, right?

Actually the creepiest thing to come out of that is the massive amount of 3d rendered sword and sorcery porn out there. semi-realistic orcs and barbarian princesses going at it like they were repopulating the earth. and sometimes it ends with a decapitation. have I shared too much?

Characters are extremely hard. We had several characters over the years in Playboy's annual women/girls of video games issue. Those were characters created for near realistic game trailers touched up to work on full nudes. They could look pretty realistic but not 100%. To create a model like this costs tens of thousands of $. Its not simple and it still doesn't quite look like the real deal. Paying real women and the photocrew and spending x hours photoshopping is a concept that is not going to go away. Those steps are not expensive except when top talent is involved - with computer graphics just to get realism is a hug hurdle (still) and getting really good stills is something you can only start thinking AFTER you have reached the 1st goal.

CG is getting cheaper and more accessible but still its hard.

You got mad skillz kero. IMO - the front end looks too much like all the new Cadillacs - friggin' ugly pieces of metal.
Every time I start thinking the world is all bad, then I start seeing people out there having a good time on motorcycles. It makes me take another look. - S.M.

As opposed to say the Cadillacs of the late 80's and 90's? They are the definition of ugly. The new Cadillacs are supermodels compared to a 1990 baby blue FWD sedan de ville. Only car I have ever seen with a landau top and a sunroof, and both 20 years too late.

Going back to Geeto`s earlier Firestone test picture for the land speed vehicle, here is a couple of images I took of a few mates re-fitting an engine in one of their lightnings ( lucky buggers have got a pair). Anyway, the link to this, seeing as its not really a bike related thread, is that Richard Noble had a load of tyres which they used for low speed testing of Thrust 2 which were in fact from the Lightning. Quite an unusual tyre and he kindly got in touch and sold them at a very reasonable cost to keep them in operation.

These boys keep the jets running and do fast taxi runs which is pretty impressive.

Every time I see the new Cadillacs touted as an alternative to a new Jag, or S8, or C63, or M7, I throw up in my mouth a little.
The '67 Eldorado is about the last Caddy I can think of with any character. Although I took my Grandparents' '75 Fleetwood to my senior prom...no real 'character' needed for that.
