That is the firestone facility in 1960 testing the tires for the LSR rocket car "The Flying Caduceus"

Probably the future of auto racing right there too. With as many electronic controls as are on modern race cars anyway, along with the ability to remove 200 lbs of dead weight, nobody risking their lives to drive the thing, and the current talented crop of game controller virtuosos.....

well 1st test passed - nobody is screaming it looks like a shitty photoshop job. I know in ain't 100% real looking but still.

Its a design exercise for my 1 man company doing 3d graphics - still doing work for my ex-employer freelance but looking to expand more design oriented stuff. To do things I love to do - kind of a thing. Plan is to find time for a quick teaser animation with the car. I am pretty happy with it - until I see the Audi Le Mans cars which look so sick. As in super uber cool.

sooo... if you need imaginary vehicle designs.... PM me hahah.

This also explains why I was quick to run and defend the Daniel Simon guy... I wanna design cool shit too!

were we supposed to be screaming? I didn't get that memo.

honestly if your goal was to look like the rendered test proposal that usually accompanies the first press release...then good job.

And for the record, my issue isn't with Daniel Simon - it is with the fucktards that want to make it a reality. and by fucktards I mean the german engineering firm that has formula 1 experience. I think most of his other works in the movies are great, and as a styling person he's on the spot. But the way vehicles are usually designed is there are engineering parameters set and then you make those parameters look pretty. You don't usually start with the pretty and then solve for X with design parameters.

totally agree with all that. Its a silly approach - and really you could have both achieved if you did it right. I even get poser racer - one that is not 100% function but emphasis on unique appearance but rearsets + chopper rake =? ultra futuro + dual shocks = ? stinks like they don't get bikes.

They don't. They are a formula 1 team looking to raise capital by prying open rich indulgent moron's wallets by selling them a bunch of nostalgic techo retro garbage. They know as much about motorcycles as I know about open heart surgery.

That looks pretty cool. Wish I could get out of my current computer gig. But the money is decent and really if the world isnt burning I could just be like "hey i wanna go ride my bike" to my boss and he will be like "sweet have fun".

That cable made me think its electric and being charged. Pretty good render.
    Bike:
    Buell X1
    Honda S90 (box of parts)
    Honda CB750C (runs)
    The Others (mostly rolling wounded)

My collar may be a little frayed, and maybe I need a shoeshine. But nobody\'s got a mortgage on my soul. I own it. Free and clear. -Phil Lovecraft

Nice render mate, what program are you modelling in and what was it rendered in? I'm a modeler for a structural engineering company but try to do some rendering in my spare time, nothing like that though

Reminds me of a fighter sitting on a aircraft carrier deck. Electrical slave cable attached.
