    1949 Cafe Racer

Sure, why not call it that. Clubman bars, USD forks, high compression piston, sport cam....luggage rack.

Bought this up a couple months ago and picked it up at Barber. Been looking for an old Guzzi for a while. Starts and runs good but smokes a bit. Decided to look at the top end and found a stuck oil ring and the valves a bit loose in the guides. Not exactly the easiest thing to find parts for but they are out there.

    That's pretty nifty right there.

Just needs bar end mirrors and a bum-stop tail sticking up in the air.

If you look close it has a bar end mirror. An old period correct Stadium. It was on it when I got it.

Nice score. There is a similar restored one that putts around the neighborhood on sunny days. Few years newer I think. Love that mag and the flywheel hanging out in the breeze.

No plans to restore. Just a solid rider hopefully and try to preserve the patina. I wish it was a 500 Falcone but those things are priced through the roof. The 250 will be just fine.
