with a pair of magnets spread like that its allmost like they are screwed down to the table ,eh
I think the magnets are rated at 40lbs a piece, so yes absolutely stable as can be. The cross bar is only 5/16, but stainless with a really smooth finish, so the glove slides along nicely. Slowly running out of excuses for not running consistent beads. Still haven't used the TIG on DC yet. Want to try and focus on aluminum and get to some sort of reasonable skill level. At least (most of the time) when it looks like dog shit, I have a reasonably good idea of what went wrong. Mostly torch angle, hence the desire for the rotary table. At some point I want to try and make another one with a large enough hole through the centre so exhaust pipe will fit through.

    different story
i was trying to get a rep on a call about some kind of account
robot asking me to punch in my account number
well i dint haveb my 10 digit account number handy and she would not relegate the duty to a real person so im started just finger fucking the keypad entering 50-100 numbers
a little bit longer than normal pause and the robot procceds to repeat back to me that super long string of numbers
i know it wasnt a person cause it never paused to breathe lol

A while back, someone who is afflicted with ADD wandered off for a second and left the power feed engaged on the mill. That same person had been too lazy to set up the limit switch, so the bed reached the end of its travel and it ripped a few teeth off a (no longer available anywhere) drive gear inside the feed gearbox. Thinking it would have been nice to have a power feed while running the cutter through a gear blank 49 times. Probably a karma quote that covers that.
