I carry a gun because I'm too young to die, too old to take an ass whooping, and a cop is too heavy.

You folks over there have the oddest expressions. Not as odd as the Aussies, but close. Although I’ve packed on a few, not from those. They are tongue depressors.... I inherited a whole sack of them amongst other things like a couple hundred model airplane engines and a lifetime supply of TT carburetors. As soon as I’m finished making the actual part/bucks I swear I’m done with fibreglass. Miserable stuff. Next time I make a mold, the plug will be waxed... then a layer of unwaxed gelcoat, then epoxy to cure and seal the gelcoat... then back that up using a medium created by the Egyptians and passed on to me by a master craftsman from the Midlands.

I could cast in a big eyebolt so when I’m done it could be used to anchor the mooring buoy.

Was thinking the gelcoat would eliminate any porosity on the surface.... which would only matter is it was being used as a mold instead of a buck.

This whole exercise makes me want to take up basket weaving or flower arranging instead.

Flower arranging? Don'tcha have to have the "special gene" for that.
If you can't pick it back up, don't ride it.
