    That's true. But I haven't heard any noise about the Buccaneer coming here, and the SRV250 is T-minus 3 years on a EPA/DOT/Customs exemption.

    at that point I should just go buy a used TU250 and start ordering parts from WM Production Team in Japan:

    Looking at these bikes makes me recall a Peter Egan piece about how nobody makes a good looking dirt bike anymore. I say that is still the case.

    They can still be had if you hang around vintage rallies and swap meets. Although you might need to wait for somebody to die.
