    Looking for Peterbuilt 379 Info

An Argentine buddy of mine is looking to build a model of a Peterbuilt 379, and is looking for someone who may have owned one, driven one, or has knowledge of them. Thought I'd cast a net here.

It's a really nicely built, big f'ing truck chassis, that is spacious enough to accept nearly Any massive diesel engine and transmission that you might be able to procure in Argentina

I used to help my father-in-law fix his big trucks (mostly Mack) and bulldozer diesel engines, that's pretty much all I know about them.

So...I was a bit wrong about this...but it's pretty amazing. My buddy is not building a truck, but a scale replica of a Peterbuilt 379.

In his own words, "I want to make a model scale like the pictures that I copy of others things that we made with my father in law. The problem is that I didn´t find the real sizes of the Peterbilt so that I can make the accounts of the scale that I want. My problem is, if someone can give me the long, wide and tall for example of the tractor Peterbilt 379 I can start."

These are samples of other models they've made:

That's pretty damn cool. Does anyone know where to get the dimensional specs for this truck? Where's WW when you need him?

I just googled " peterbuilt truck blueprints". I think if you googled tire size for said truck as well and scaled the blueprint to that diameter you would have all you need

I could have told you quite a bit about a real peterbilt as far as making it work, or which engines and transmissions I prefer, but scale models are something I know very little about.
He should build one on a nissan or toyota mini truck frame so he can have a tiny pete to just cruise around in, maybe even build a small 5th wheel trailer and haul something really cool in it as well.
There are some very nice nissan diesel inline six drivetrains on ebay for killer prices, under 2k
