    Daytona Bike Shops???

I am headed down to Daytona Sat for a business convention. Does anyone know of some bike shops to visit? Not interested in the usual dime a dozen Harley Shops or Arlene Ness type things, but would like to visit some vintage or cafe shops.

The convention ends on Weds, and I have a couple free days before the wife who must be obeyed wants to go to Micky Land.....

    Thanks,
    Jack

Yer SOL fer the most part. The BMW dealer has a nice collection of older bikes as does PCS which is right down the street from BMW. Other than that it's ALL HD and HD clone crap.

    George,

What is PCS ? I think I might know where the BMW shop is, kind of on a curve on the mainland side of the bridge? I might have passed it last year--triumph in the window, shop kind of worn looking. Last year a group of us rented Harley's and rode up to St. Augustine, nice ride, But heck, it has been so warm this year I can ride here in NY whenever I want to just cruise around town.

Anyone know of any shops within 100 miles of Daytona?

    Thanks,
    Jack

Dude, screw disney. Rent some snorkling gear, head to the east coast. Anywhere. The fish are incredible, and manatees are everywhere this time of year. Pick up a diver's bouy to tow behind you (tie the rope to your ankle or something) and head out along the jetties. The water temp will be great, and no one else will be in the water this time of year because they're floridified sissies.

You'll save money and have a better time. Nature is much cooler that freakin' disney.

it's not exactly in daytona but a 25 minute drive down to sanford and Jacks Cycle Salvage might be worth the trip. jacks specializes in vintage jap bikes. whne i was at ami in 2005 i think i was there about every other day. Jack and his son, s well as the counter guy John who is the sohc honda guy there. good people and a great shop.

some people are like slinkies, basically useless but they still make me smile when i push them down the stairs
