In my case... too many years of corporate whiplash, so I have to have mirrors that function to some degree.

That's why they invented bar end weights.

My last major get off would have made for an interesting video. Long story short I was down to about 35-40 mph braking hard and the car behind punted the bike right out from underneath me. Not something I want to repeat.

since it was brought up, I am toying with the idea of one of those license plate frame back up cameras as a secondary rear view mirror. I have a phone mount on nearly all my bikes because I use the phone as gps, so it would be cool to have it double as a secondary rearview directly in front of me while I am riding. Since I take the phone with me when I leave the bike, I don't worry about looking odd when parked. I am just waiting for them to get a little cheaper, although this is tempting:

I have a couple of yi action cameras and I love them so how bad could this be?

The biggest hurdle I run into with old bikes, esp old hondas is that sometimes asking them to charge phones is asking a little much of the charging system. adding an extra amp or 2 of draw into a system that doesn't "break even" until 2000 rpm makes traffic interesting sometimes.

Objects in mirror are shaking less then they appear.

That actually seems expensive for what it is and for what it looks like. In spite of what I said about not wanting to see what is going on back there, a rear camera is probably in my future. I don't really have a surplus of time for dicking around, but I'd be willing to bet the junk yards are littered with decent quality backup cameras. Assuming they would work (field of view) I'm sure one could be converted during an afternoon at the kitchen table while stuck inside because they have nowhere to put the snow. I can also ask the resident techno wizard if he has any ideas. He has no time or inclination to build stuff, but is good at finding decent off the shelf bits.

Ps... or steal a camera out of a dead iPhone or iPad?? But maybe it would be continually trying to focus and give a shitty image?

Or just forget what I said because you want wireless.
