    Helmet Shields

So out on a ride I noticed the face shield is not as clean as I'd like. Checking the labels I didn't realize my helmet is in such good shape for 18 years old. I have no idea what model the helmet is and don't seem to find a correctly shaped shield. Any help here?

I carry a gun because I'm too young to die, too old to take an ass whooping, and a cop is too heavy.

Sure the 10/01 don't mean 2010 January? Anyhow, modern recommendations is to replace helmets at the age of 5, or after been in a crash. As a result, manufacturers don't bother to supply spares for older helmet types.

    I think it is a 2001 helmet.

Only place for old helmet visors might be on ebay???

Time frame for helmets is usually based on the in service date +5-7years. Apparently sweat breaks down the styrofoam (edit- polystyrene) protective material...

A helmet does not go bad sitting in a box for 15 years.

I just realized why my helmet is such a pain to remove, they put the red pull tab on the wrong D-ring.
