Anybody here good with Cellphones - (NBR)

Ok, I know this is an NBR (not bike related) topic but I am having a problem with my cell. The screen has gone all white. Anybody ever hear of this problem before or have this problem? Otherwise the phone works like a regular phone, I just have no display to see what I am doing. Plus I am pretty sure my text message inbox is full but I can't read any of them.

What type of phone is it. it could be a number of different issues. lets go over the usual stuff though. did it get wet in any way?, dropped slightly at all?, hard shock?

if it's verizon, mine did the same thing. verizon techs reprogrammed the phone and that fixed it.

Verizion LG vx8600. Basically the choclate but in an all black flip phone model. My verizion techs are retarded at best and glue sniffing inbread feces throwers at worst. Plus verizon doesn't list any stores in NY on their website. I just tried to get it "reprogrammed" over my lunch only to find that yellowpages.com gave me to their corporate offices and not any store.

    cell phones suck.

It has been raining here hard for the last couple of days. It might be that the phone got wet but not soaked wet like being dropped in a sink or toilet or something. I think my sweat is more damaging to the phone than the rain water has been (the subways here are ungodly hot and overcrowded due to the rain).

Go to their website, call cust support. Tell them to reprogram your phone. They can do it remotely. You might need to powercycle it afterwards.

Yeah, most cust support people are best at one thing, converting food into feces.

If you are brave...try this on an LG phone.

Turn it on, type in 277634#*#

See if the service menu comes up.

If it does....then shut the phone down and restart.

If nothing comes up...don't hit any keys except the shutdown.

Sometimes accessing the service menu will cause a software reboot on restart...sometimes not. I'd give you guys the deep service menu code but you'd just break your phones

PS. Not sure if this will work on LG Verison phones...I don't think they use SIM cards.

I am pretty sure my phone has a sim card, it may not but who knows. I tired your code branson and it didn't work. I'll try calling them to see if they can reset it and if not, who knows. I just hat the thought of givign these bastards money for a new phone, the thing is 1 year and 7 months old.

verizon phones (with one or two exceptions) don't use sim cards. only gsm phones do - att, t-mobile, etc.

www.howardforums.com - here's the place to find out about your phone, what you can do with it, and how you can stick it to the man.
