Image Hosting - Anyone Try Picasa?

I use google photos (Picasa) to store all my family's pics and was wondering if it can be used to host images as well. When i try to simply copy the url i get this

or if i use their link tool i get this

Anyone have any experience with this? It would be nice to use the service for hosting as well as storage.

EDIT: hmm seems like that 1st one worked this time. i tried this last night with no success.

Lets see if the full size image works....

    photobucket works well

    has online editing capability

and four easy to copy/paste meta tags under each image

    why bother with anything else

    and it's free

    this forum uses UBB code

    so in photobucket

you just click on the third? meta tag below the image

    come here, then click paste

    very easy

this computer needs a new keyboard..... keep having to edit

flickr.com for me. try pulling the picture up and then right click properties. then highlight the full url and copy it in your clipboard. come here, hit reply, then click on the insert image button. then paste your url inbetween the open and close image tag.

do flicker or imageshack offer online editing of images?

I generally try do any of that with my camera first, then with Adobe if not able, but it is nice that photobucket has recently offered full editing capabilty even with the free accounts

it's a bit tedious and slow but helpful when an important one slips past

I have a paid "pr" account with PB...... like less than 10 bucks for three months

very cheap and I can upload HUGE pix and flix

and do them with their new java based file uploaded

I don't think, but not sure, that feature is available with the free accounts

very easy and let's me get away from the computer while it's doing it's thing

for sure the free accounts do not have unlimited bandwidth useage

not a big deal for just pix but you can use all your free bandwidth with a movie or two, in a short amount of time

as in a 5 minute video embedded in a 7 day ebay listing will not make it and your pix and flix will no longer be viewable
