Looks like the chopper craze is over and the cafe bike is moving on up in popularity. Ok - when do we get our own TV show???

wish they hadn't written "loud" so many times. i like my muffler doing it's job in the hopes no one notices my occasional indiscretions of advanced pace. love the bars champy....all i could do was think of the g-man's cringe.

I could only find three "louds". Love the upside down handlebars! I have very low standards but they ain't that low! So now we had better keep our eyes open for Orange County Cafes.

This isn't a dig at anyone in particular, but ya know the thing that bugs me more than anything?
    Purists.
I just finished Colin Seeley's biography as well as one of the many "history of the cafe racer" books and there was all manner of handlebar configurations used. You guys will get moist over some moped converted to look "Cafe" but someone really living the style ie: run whatcha brung...well....they need to be bitch slapped.
C'mon guys, give it a rest already.
Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices, but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence and fulfills the duty to express the results of his thought in clear form.

I must point out that "living the style" has ALWAYS consisted of shit talking and ragging on other peoples rides. It is what IT is.

Swagger, Were you there in the 60s when most of this took place? If not then I can tell you if you showed up with bars upside down you would be ragged on and bitch slapped. My Norton got clip-ons in '67 and they are still on it.

Screw the shit talking, I'm stoked because thats a local shop for me. Just cool to see a Seattle thing on the boards.
I was right in the middle of a fucking reptile zoo, and somebody was giving booze to these goddam things.
