leo from the board and i were talking the other day and we agreed that we would both be more than happy to help each other, or more others out by fetching bikes and holding them for people on this board, and out of state to negotiate a sale. obviously this has to be worked out before hand, and stuff that comes up last minute....like a certain drag bike in ashville, nc, is gonna be hard to coordinate between potential buyer and potential fetcher and holder.

please all be free to contact me if there is a bike that you covet in the philadelphia area. i promise not to be a dick and buy it out from under you....as that is mad mojo!

i'd like to hear your thoughts on this kernel of an idea!

    cheers,

    texy

Count me in. I am now in Minneapolis. I have been enjoying the FZ600 that Judey picked up for me in Detroit.

I agree - having a helping out network works pretty well. I'm in Rochester NY for now.

Catboy & I really, really wanted to enjoy that bike too... just around the block a couple of times - at high speed. But the frozen calipers filled us with the fear of God. What if we'd fucked it up good, on a stupid joyride? In the long run, I'm glad we didn't play with it. post some pics. I just bought a new wiring harness for my own race bike.

... Also, Detroit Craigslist has tons o' bargains these days. MI has the highest unemployment rate in the nation. Everyone with anything to sell is doing so, to make ends meet. If anyone finds anything in this area, though somewhat short on storage, let me know. I'll do what I can.

Actually, the widow next door is getting rid of her car this month, and I'm gonna see if I can store a few bikes over there. She hasn't seen the inside of that garage in a year.
