Here's my confession. I was born in NJ. I was only 6 months old before I figured that NJ stinks and got the hell out of dodge. Later in life, I spent plenty of time pier side at fuel terminals, in Bayonne, now that really does stink.
NJ just climbed up the food chain in my point of view with NJMP : )

    Welcome Bob,

I'm down in Bordentown, about 10 miles south off Trenton, on the river.

Nice to see a lot of folks have Jersey's back.

    Cheers,
    Leo

O contrair...Not to 'jack this thread, but you just can't dis the state like that! The Jersey shore, right down to Cape May is pretty damn fine; Barnegat, Brigantine, Sea Isle and of course Cape May. The Pine Barrens is the site of one of the best Enduros on the east coast.
One cool thing about N.J., pretty much no matter where you are, you can get in a car and drive for 1/2 hour, 45 minutes tops, and be in the woods, a little longer drive will get you to the shore. If you pick your time right, it's worth the drive.
Take a walk on the boardwalk...

Well, when you go visit from out of state, its quite a culture shock. "Didn't these people realize that its just a TV show?"

Then you drive on the turnpike once with the windows down in the summer. Once. Smells like what you'd think a Soylent Green factory would smell like.

Similar when my wife and I went down to the NC outer banks. Little country breakfast place, I had to translate what the waitress was saying for my wife. (I grew up in NJ, then VA. Her, Massahoosits )
"Just tell her you don't want grits, honey."

yes i can i live here, and even the jersey girl moved out of state what does that tell ya !

yea the shore cool for 2 months a year the pine barrens are pretty cool, and yea there's some other cool stuff too, but the truth is the eastern side and western sides are like two different states, the west is country great roads, the east is a suburb of NYC and a highway,

whoa up hoss, being a seaside park alum (vd capital of the tri-state area) I take exception to the notion that the east side is a highway (parking lot) when I watched a guy max out a guzzi lamans on straight that cuts through the middle of island beach state park. Fun is always where you make it. cheers, bcr
