    Geeto;

    Shout out if you need British parts - I visited a guy out in Ohio this weekend that has a warehouse full of British parts. I have no clue what he's doing with them but if you need anything - I'm sure he's got it.

    it is now in the garage so I can spill the beans.

    I bought a 1972 Norton Dunstall 810. $1500 from the family of the deceased original owner. Ex-race bike converted to the street. The original owner was in the middle of a resto when he had a heart attack, everything is in perfect condition it just needs to be put back together. I even got the guys race leathers from the 70's and his helmet which is signed "good luck, eddie lawson"

    We loaded 30 tupperware containers of parts into the car tonight. The bike is like a giant model kit missing only the wheels and the seat. 10 years after I said I would never own another brit bike I have one again. At least this time it is not my only means of transportation. The bike comes with a 650 domi-racer spare motor and a 74 850 motor disassembled. I have enough parts to build three bikes. I am stoked. The tranny is a Quaffe 5 speed freshly rebuilt as well as the original matching numbers motor (all with dunstall issued vin numbers). The parts are like jewerly.

    Pics to come.

    I am going to need a faring...hint hint, wink wink. This was one of the few dunstall 810s delivered without a fairing but after seeing it my father said it has to have one. The only question is, original style or go for the norvil yellow sub production racer style.

    I guess I forgot to mention that this is a quasi x-mas present for my father, this is probably the last father son project we are going to do. My father had a couple of dunstalls he brought back with him from europe in the 1970s and always regretted selling those bikes. This was the first time I have ever found one that was local and affordable.

    I think this is a rather appropriate bike also since although my father painted all his dunstalls john player black and gold, my norton commando was yellow, this bike is yellow and a dunstall.

    here it right before we began loading it in the car:

    and here is the engine after we pulled it out of its cocoon:

    you may begin calling me all sorts of names.

    The most impressive thing was how well everything was cataloged. Everything was in a bag with what it was and where it came from and then in a box inside of that with other like pieces. If it was a bolt, the bolts were numbered and clocked, meaning each had a number and if it was the side cover screws for example it would say screw #1 12 o'clock position and there would be a little diagram as to where it went.
