    Question about batteries

    Ok....so the stock battery size for a cb350 is a 12v, 12ah battery.
The dimensions of this are slightly larger than I want as I am hiding it in the hump of the seat.

So.....can I run something else? I will be running a headlight, signals, brake light, and some led's for the oil, neutral lights etc.

I need a shorter one.....the stock is about 6.5 inches tall....I could go 2 inches shorter and 2 inches wider if that matters.

    Thanks guys

as long as it is 12 volts and 12ah I don't really see the problem with physical size.

I think that 8ah is probably ok if you're not using the electric starter.

AH = Amp hour: The quantity of electrical energy corresponding to the flow of current of one ampere for one hour. The term is used to quantify the energy stored in a battery. Most batteries are rated in Ah.

something tells me your amp draw on the bike is going to be more than .4.

yausa used to have an awesome chart on their site that gave you all the pertenant info. Since they redesigned the site it all went to shit and this is the best I can do.

I am not going to tell you what battery to use. I am going to continue to give you tools to figure it out for yourself. What I can tell you is pay MORE ATTENTION to the amp loads you will need.

BTW - capacity = Amp hours. 4 amp hours means you cannot draw more than .4amps out of the system at once without ruining the battery. If you get down small enough the battery can end up shorting out, or running out of charge faster than you can charge it.

Geeto, I am unsure of my amp load....fabrication is my thing dude......def. not the electronics.

Reading that article you gave me was helpful, but a little confusing.

How do I know how much amps I am drawing?

    my brain hurts!!!!!!
