Should've been at Chadds Fords auction this past weekend. You could have had a nicer bike for less.

So to answer your question; yes.

that is a high pipe s model, pretty rare - not many around.

yes, sadly, it is. Sadly because it means that most of us can't afford them right now.

FYI I was offered a factory purple metalflake norton S model for $4000 in 2001 and that was considered the upper end of the price range then but not crazy. now that bike would easily sell for double.

I think it's "worth" that and a lot more

I don't think it will move very fast, if at all, at that price with today's money being how it is.

Our dollars aren't worth very much and our currency has risen in the world market.

So even shipping it back to the Land of UK is a lot less likely today than it was 8 months ago.

Always amazes me how in our youth we let bikes like this slip away,my brother owned this very model when he was in college back in 76 and what was I riding a 73 Kawasaki 903z1 with the root beer and orange tank.

a showroom condition kz900 of just about any year will probably bring equal money so don't count the jap bikes out. h2's are stupid expensive now ($10K+ for perfect examples). Some sandcast cb750s were fetching close to $20K only a few months back.

My father had a real Paul Dunstall atlas based Domi-racer he imported from Switzerland himself about 1967-68. He gave it to a friend as a wedding present not long after bringing it back to the states. He had other dunstalls he let go for pittances also - all of those bikes would bring five figures now in the condition he had them. And don't get me started on his 1962 409/409 Impala SS or the 1969 Cross Ram endura bumper z/28.

    Very nice . Wouldn't pay 7K$ though.
If they call a sheep a ram.
    And a donkey an ass.
Why do they call a ram in the ass a goose?

Believe me I don't count the jap bikes out at all I'm just lamenting the fact that I got rid of the 903.Traded it in on a 78 Honda CBX 6cyl. while not as rare it's another bike that today sells for a fair chunk of change.
