    did you end up getting the bike? or did you decide to buy the RD350 instead

    i bought the 350 instead as i prefer yams to kwaks. the kh was super clean tho but an american import lol.

    Smart move. The Yamahas are much easier to work on that the Kawasakis

    I am a big fan of the s3/kh400 triples - all the weight of a 250cc bike with near the punch of the 500s. many say these are the best handling triples.

    however.....

    there are NO pistons or piston rings left for the 400s. none. nobody makes them. if you are lucky enough to find a set it will cost you more than you paid for the bike. You don't have to take my word for it, since you are UK based you can ask Rick Brett at classic kawasaki. Triples are his specality.
