    Turn signals?

The law in massachusetts states that any motorcycle built after Jan. 1st, 1973 must have turn signals. How many of you guys go without them and get away with it? I'm curious because I recently saw an 80's KZ1000 (dear lord, I want one again) at a local car show with no signals, small tail light and side-mounted plate. Do police not give a crap? I think the KZ had Rhode Island plates but still. What is your state like?

I rode my 80 CM400 last year with no turn signals. I never drove at night and used hand signals during the day and never got any problems from the 5-0. Night time riding would of been pretty hairy I'd think. I'm not sure what Wisconsin's law for it is but I think drive like a sane person and it wouldn't give the fuzz to give you a second look.

ny doesn't require signals on a bike made before 1985. I just flip the bird in the direction I want to go and it seems to get peoples attention enough that I don't have to work at memorizing any hand signals.

i live in oklahoma, the only statute for road travel is...
i think it has to do with horses.

no inspections, plenty of cars in worse shape than a vintage blinkerless motorcycle. no emissions inspections. and not to mention i sell cruiser parts to a portion of the police force.

the only time i've ever had any trouble that would scare me was i hit a roadblock on a residential street set up by the highway patrol. it was in the middle of town and strange, but they wrote me a warning for a cracked windshield in my truck.

i live in a prison town filled with meth heads with little to no economy and like 10 cops, they really do have better things to do than mess with an upright citizen. even if he is using hand signals, (which i do).

although one time i had a cop yell at me from across a street to get "some mirrors on that thing"
