    CB360 from Cleveland

    Hello!

My name is Jason and I'm from Cleveland, Ohio. I have always been interested in motorcycles but have just recently been riding, about 3 years now. I am a machinist by trade, have done some welding and am not afraid to work on my own vehicles.

I own a 1974 CB360 in decent shape and have done all of the proper maintenance myself with the help of Brenden at HondaCB360.com. (Carb rebuild kit, ignition kit, and the usual odds and ends to get the bike to where it is at currently). I am trying to keep this bike close to stock (visually) but am interested in small upgrades to performance and handling, now that it is a great daily, dependable motor.

I have been reading this forum for a while now, so I understand how it works. I look forward to hearing from everyone and learning more about my bike.

    Thanks!

    JasonJames

Look very nice. I would have to agree with not changing anything.

Not sure what all you have done but the best performance upgrades you could do would be progressive front springs and new rear shocks. You could also upgrade your ignition and coils.

I definitely agree with these /\

But if you were thinking about taking a hack saw to this bike, sell it now.

    Not at all!
Have been looking into the rear shocks/springs. I rebuilt the front forks last year so I'm pretty content with them. I found a set of rear springs that are 13 in long. They state that the increased rake makes the handling better. Any pros or cons?

The only thing I can see is changing out the bars. I feel as if I am sitting high on the bike when I ride. I'd like to look into some sport bars. My friend has a CB750 with clubman bars and I like the feel of them, but that looks like it could be a pain in the back for long trips. I do ride two up with my lady, so doing any kind of rear sets to go with them are out of the question. I'm trying to keep this mostly stock like I said.

Does anyone have any ideas about upgrading the regulator/rectifier? Hondacb360.com has a replacement that I would like to look into.
I want to update the headlight and possible change out the bulbs to LEDs. I'm sure there is a forum on here somewhere about that.

    Thanks all!!

rip that motor out, sell it, and replace it with a steam engine.. just so you can call it the Cleveland Steamer.

Seriously though, lovely looking bike, fucking love that burnt orange.

Superbike bars, or stock bars off a cb400F (1975-77). Those ought to sort you out. I don't know how broad your shoulders are but when you go to lower bars the stock mirrors usually end up looking at your shoulders, arm, or elbow so I recommend a set of bar end mirrors.
