so here we are, after some newer cycles it came to me that a classic cycle was what I wanted. some days on the internet brought me this '78 Honda with 50000 km on the clock. It had its owner since 1993 who bought it at 33000 km, looking at the state of the bike it seemed to me as a good buy. But my mind had been triggered, the wheels were spinning and soon a bright idea of a Caferacer build sprung from the dark depth. Soon I started to collect parts and I knew that this would be a low budget build, since I'm still in college.
I want to go for the low and racy look, no expensive and shiny parts. It has to look like it was build likt this 33 years ago.
Love the paint and the header!!
Did you hear about the pirate with two wooden legs?
They caught fire and burned his ass to the ground!
First things first, It needed some service, and it had a leaky exhoust, so new oil and filters should do the job.
cleaning up the oil system. Hoses, oiltank and oilpan.
the exhoust was repaired pourly and needed some serious work.
A good day for the grinder, about 30cm had to go, with it also the silencer.
new silencer made with a piece of pipe, some rings and a lot of drilling holes.
A little bit of flat black heatresistant paint and stainless steal bolts makes it look cool.
